December 31, 2008 by aoelof · Leave a Comment

Over the years, TILT has built a good relationship with most of our clients. With the emergence of Facebook, most of our staff have a facebook account as well and it was only natural that our clients had become our friends in Facebook.

In this last post for the year, TILT has decided to create a group, TILT, so that our clients can get to know each other and through the group, everyone can share about their latest events, their thoughts on design / photography as well. In fact, if you have any request, you can post it through the group as well!

For our readers, do feel free to join the group! We welcome you with open arms! Have a Happy New Year!

The Last Hurray

December 24, 2008 by aoelof · Leave a Comment

TILT received an early christmas present from Singapore Sports Council today when SSC awarded the “SPORTON!” Creative Campaign to us.

The project is to promote the “SPORTON!” website to the youths such that it can become THE Sports Portal for the Youths. This is a project which TILT holds dear. In fact, we had spent numerous hours brainstorming and talking to the youths on what kind of creatives will capture their attention. Through our research, we had understood what the youths are looking out for. Through our brainstorming session, we had come up with a strategic plan to create an win-win situation for all parties through our Ambassador programme.

With a thorough evaluation which SSC conducted, TILT went through 2 rounds of presentation and when we received the phone call today informing us about the good news, all our staff literally jumped for joy! This piece of news had reaffirmed our position in the sports and education industry for TILT

This truly is the last hurray for the year!

On behalf of TILT, we thank all our readers a Merry Christmas and we hope that your Christmas celebration will be as sweet as ours too!

The results for Singapore Youth Olympic Games 2010 Logo Design is out! TILT went through the merit and short-listed design entries and are glad that the quality is of a substantial quality.

The merit award designs and short-listed entries are available for viewing on the Singapore 2010 website. The prize giving ceremony was held on 9th December 2008. Below is an excerpt of the press release.

Launched in July this year, the Singapore 2010 Logo Design Competition received a total of 1,856 entries from 44 different countries. Participants were encouraged to come up with an original and creative design that embodies a youthful spirit, the values of Olympism, and the Singaporean identity. The ease of application and reproduction of the logo designs was also taken into consideration.

The competition had provided a great opportunity to get Singaporeans and the international community involved in the run up to Singapore 2010. The variety of designs received demonstrates the dynamism of ideas and the different visions of what people around the world think the logo should look like.

With the help of a panel of 13 judges from the creative and sports industries, the Singapore Youth Olympic Games Organising Committee (SYOGOC) selected 10 merit award designs from the entries received.

    Sticking Together

In this third edition of photoshoot of the 26 National Sports Association (NSAs), which TILT is contracted by Singapore Youth Olympic Games Organising Committee (SYOGOC), we will be featuring Singapore Hockey Federation.

When we contacted Singapore Hockey Federation, we had mentioned to them that we only needed 5 players. Not only was the Federation very pro-active in helping us find slots which we can come down for training, they actually also specially arranged for the players to come down 1 hour in advance of their training so that we can have their time, their heart and their soul entirely.

When we arrived at Delta Sports Complex, we were treated to a show of teamwork. While we needed 5 players, Singapore Hockey Federation arranged for the whole team of 18 to be there. When we mentioned to the coach, we only needed 5, they each joked about who is more handsome and should go instead. In fact, one of the youths mentioned “I think we need to select those who are handsome. This leaves us with no choice. I am sorry guys, I have to be one of the guys!” and the whole team burst out laughing. The final 5 who were chosen was treated with applause. For the rest who were not chosen, they assisted them in their preparation. Getting the equipment to the field, arranging things and more. This is the kind of team spirit which TILT was treated to by the Singapore Hockey Federation.

Armed with their hockey sticks and smiles, TILT is sure that Singapore Hockey Federation is on the right track in their preparation for the upcoming Singapore Youth Olympic Games 2010. (SYOG).

    Handball’s Grit and Grace

    November 26, 2008 by aoelof · Leave a Comment

In this second edition of photoshoot of the 26 National Sports Association (NSAs), which TILT is contracted by Singapore Youth Olympic Games Organising Committee (SYOGOC), we will be featuring Handball Association Singapore (HFS).

The photoshoot was conducted in Mayflower Secondary School. Being one of the newest NSAs, HFS do not have an official training ground yet and have been very grateful to Mayflower Secondary School and Braddell Heights Community Club to offer their ground for the YOG hopefuls. On the ground, TILT was given a showcase of grit and grace. Their movement in their footwork and fluidity can be comparable to that of a ballet dancer. The strength in throwing the shot or bravery in blocking the shot with all parts of their body shows their grit. After chatting with the coach, it was revealed that there are a handful of athletes with very interesting backgrounds. Some have never learnt handball before and actually googled to find out more and called HFS directly to join the youth training sessions. There are others who came just to give it a try and then decided that handball is more fun than any other game. No matter what the reason is, we are sure Handball is here to stay. HFS has the intention to send the athletes overseas for friendly games to provide international exposure in preparation for the upcoming Singapore Youth Olympic Games 2010. (SYOG).

    It’s a Runner’s World

    November 24, 2008 by aoelof · Leave a Comment

We just completed the first photoshoot of the 26 National Sports Association (NSAs) which TILT is contracted by Singapore Youth Olympic Games Organising Committee (SYOGOC). The NSA is none other than the Singapore Athletics Association.

Located at the Singapore Sports School, the Singapore Athletics Association was very friendly and helpful in assisting us in the photoshoot. In fact, they prepared 8 athletes for us just for the photoshoot! The athletes were also very cooperative. The long jumpers jumped at least 10 times just for us to capture the correct shot with the right expression. The sprinters blazed past us countless times and the hurdlers crossed all boundaries to ensure that we get it right as well. Judging by the attitude, character and talent of the 8 athletes, we are sure they are on the right track to perform well for the upcoming Singapore Youth Olympic Games 2010. (SYOG).
