Design Matters: Design R&D Grants

You have a brilliant idea and you are hampered by the lack of funds? This is a situation where TILT found ourselves in occasionally. It certainly is frustrating and we are glad that with the latest grant available, this is a situation that all designers / design houses will probably no longer face.

Design R&D is a catalytic programme to explore new design paradigms, creating new design knowledge, processes and applications through design research and development, forecasting future needs and spinning new industries. The programme is synchronised with Singapore’s aim to compete in the emergent knowledge economy, to position Singapore as a magnet for exciting collaboration, consortia, unique R&D projects, and a vibrant hive of creative tinkering, experiments, simulations and prototypes.
