TILT definitely feel honoured our sports photograph had been used. That was a photograph which we had taken for the purpose of public relations of the 1st Youth Olympic Games.

All said and done, we will be submitting entries for the contest and hopefully, we will be able to win the contest in the sports category so as to further affirm our status in this industry.

What a blast! After a blazing trail which allowed TILT to end off on a high note in 2008, the relay got off to a thrilling start in 2009!

TILT had just been awarded our very first job of the year! Singapore Sports Council has just awarded the Institute-Varsity-Polytechnic (IVP) Games 2009 Editorial and Photography Coverage to us. With a whopping 77 games of coverage, we will be bringing to the youths the stepovers, the flicks, the spikes, the mazy solo-runs and more which their peers will be executing.

Once again, this demonstrates our strength in the sports and education industry. We are truly excited! Are you too?

Watch this space in the upcoming days as we bring to you the news, the athletes and the winners!

    Down Under

Olympus Imaging had been a long time client of TILT. Since 2005, we have been designing both above the line (ATL) and below the line (BTL) work for Olympus’s participation in major events such as IT Show, PC Show, SITEX.

Through our work with them, we had been very familiar with their camera products. From their compact cameras to their DSLR. In fact, Olympus had loaned us their cameras on several occasions to convince us to switch from Nikon to Olympus. One of the selling points which TILT had been extremely impressed with is their waterproof feature of their SW range. Without an underwater housing, their Mju SW cameras can actually go underwater without any fear of being damaged. This truly befits their tagline of “Fear No Water”!

Armed with our DSLR and a cute compact 850SW, TILT had actually gone on one of our assignment for the Singapore Youth Olympic Games Organising Committee (SYOGOC) to conduct a photoshoot for the Singapore Swimming Association. After conducting the landshoot (i.e., we shot from the land of the swimmers), our photographer stripped down to his swimming trunks and went into the swimming pool with the Olympus Mju 850SW to conduct the shoot.

    This is the end result.

What do you think of our down under attempt?

For us, we are truly convinced!

    What is Professionalism?

This is a great opportunity for anyone wanting to try their hand at sports journalism or photography.
    What we need:
People who are able to attend weeknight matches and can either:
    • Take photographs of the action,
    • Write up short articles on the games, or
    • Do both writing and taking pictures.
You don’t need to be a professional, but an interest in sports and a good level of English certainly helps! Photographers will preferably have a digital SLR camera, but a good quality compact digital camera should also do the trick in most cases.

What was written above is an excerpt of a note which TILT came across in Facebook. This is a project which TILT is aware of and is currently pitching for it as well. Frankly, the content came across as a shock to us. The company is a pretty reputable company and yet, the content comes across as ….

Professionalism of a company? You decide for yourself.
