TILT had been involved with the Standard Chartered Marathon Singapore since 2007. Having been involved in our previous capacity as Official Photographers in the past 4 years, the Marathon has a place in our heart for everyone in TILT.
In these 4 years, we had witnessed the strength of the human spirit, the power of love and saw how everyone walked out as a winner. We are inspired by all of you. And we say all of you as there is an astonishing 60,000 of you who wake up in the wee hours in the morning and make your way to the starting line.
Throughout these 4 years, the client had asked us several times if we are interested in being involved in the creatives and we had always declined. Our reason? We are not ready…yet! We want to be able to create a positive impact when we are involved and to do a good job.
After the completion of the Inaugural Standard Chartered Marathon Singapore 2010, we had approached the client and informed them, we are ready this time round. As the team worked on the pitch when it was released, composing the visual was a piece of cake as we have in-house photography capabilities. Our staff posed in various capacities and we submitted our pitch. Within a couple of days of our submission, we were invited to present our capabilities and to share our ideas.
On 12 May 2011, when it was officially announced that we had secured the Standard Chartered Marathon Singapore 2011 Creative Agency pitch, all of us in TILT were ecstatic! Not only did our involvement for the event just deepened, TILT had also secured our first ever campaign work! Not only did the first Sunday for December of every year has just became more meaningful for us, this is sweet success for us ever since we decided to embark to work on more advertising work in late 2010!
