With all the upcoming projects and deadlines, it was indeed a hectic month for us here at TILT. From dishing out creative concepts and racking our brains for innovative ideas and designs, all 23 of us worked hard during that period.
Just like anyone of you, there are times when we are fresh out of innovation and creativity. That is when we know we have to take a break, to clear our thoughts to rethink and rejuvenate ourselves. Some do so with their smoke breaks. Others visit the facebook. For a minority few, a visit to the toilet and squatting on the toilet bowl may just do the trick!
And as you can see, our source of inspiration comes from our daily activities and sights. All we need is a trigger and our minds get moving right away in the right direction, pulling out the stopper and causing fresh new creativity to flow through our brains again.
In fact, sometimes it is the simple daily act that starts off the most brilliant of ideas.
The Singapore Arts Festival 2012 can be one such form of inspiration for you and for anyone? Why do we say so? We know it because we were doing the creatives for the OOH (Out-of-Home) materials!. The array of wondrous performances seemingly filled with artsy goodies, lies in wait for the hungry. From the calculated and fluid dance movements, to the precision of instruments syncing in harmony and the beauty of the theatre – be prepared to be embraced by the arts.
In truth, creativity in its form is an art itself. Some express it through theatre with dancing and music, and others perform it through daily activities.
For us at TILT, we fall in the latter where creative wordplay, innovative designs and pictures that speak a thousand words, is what we do best on a daily basis.
The next time you need some inspiration, do consider going to the Singapore Arts Festival! But you need to hurry. It is ending on 2 June 2012!
